Over the Past four years extensive touring and a devoted fan-base has kept Willie and Me on their toes: Touring is the only way to get the music out, while writing new music is a flowing machine. The Present:
Constant touring and a rigorous rehearsal schedule are consistent in promoting their debut, self-released album Magicshow. Magicshow, “draw more heavily from soul sounds than from classic rock riffs, yet the common ground between the two is a sonic space where they tread confidently (An Honest Tune vol. 6, no. 3). The pay off for hard work is ever increasing. Willie and Me has been nominated for Album of the Year (2005), as well as Artist of the Year (2005) through “An Honest Tune†magazine. Right now Willie and Me is gearing up for there spring run, which will take them across the South from the Eastern Seaboard of North and South Carolina, the deep dirty Delta of Mississippi, to the Ozarks of Arkansas.
The Past:
For a young band, Willie and Me has made great strides. The band placed second in the 2003 Southeastern Battle of the Bands and won the Level 5 Battle of the Bands the same year.
