The artist, formerly known as Dezi, is a breath of fresh air in the crazy, unpredictable whirlwind we call the music industry. Dez'rea may be singing a beautiful melody, rapping over some hard beats, or reverting to her favorite style of music to perform, opera, but she definitely showcases the term, student of voice. Which is one of her favorite ways to describe herself. In a world of multi hyphenate musicians, her voice would still be her choice instrument. Ever since she used to sing into the stick shift of her family's old car like a mic, she knew music was for her. Dez'rea completed her first musical composition at the age of 10, and has been in and out of studios since then. She had already completed three albums, before she was even able to vote. After taking some time off from music, she is back and going stronger than ever. "Music is a gift from God", she says "and I am going to use to the best of my ability."
