..A-1 here from JHB... had humble beginnings in NJ ,smokin dope,droppin acid,snortin coke,poppin pills,barroom brawls,chickfests and listening to my older sisters records like: fragile, trilogy, allman brothers,aqualung,humble pie,carole king "tapestry" etc, great 70"s collection..which i still got !!!found God ,cleaned up my act ended up in a christian rock band,we sounded like the black crows,stones on bible ...had our own tour bus, 70 foot rig,played all the arenas in the country ,... in the metro area we got as close as nassau collisium and philly spectrum but no MSG...damn!! toured the country three times,went to europe a few times( great outdoor festival in Holland called Flevo) , ,had a great time there,our producer was barry beckett who did "slow train comin & saved" with dylan, had a couple number hits, got a gold record for a compilation we were on, just found out it went platinum,,made some videos, so it was pretty cool no doubt (u can actually catch a couple of our old vids on youtube...type in "three crosses..maybe tonight & stone was rolled away"..we did a few more but i guess they’re long gone) christian music biz is just that..a biz like anyother bizness..its like a mini mainstream,only they tout God around their guitar necks ...
anyway...that lasted about 4-5 years and came back down to reality later ....dont get me wrong it was a great time for me cause i would have ended up on the streets of some blue collar WT town in NJ for sure without the new focus.....
Now i’ve found some great life balance and have some def stronger meaning of life and direction .... not to get to christiany but... thank God!!
