THOMAS is me. I write songs and I perform them with help from my piano. Recently a drummer who insist on calling himself Hunden joined me in my mission to spread good old news. And feelings. On wednesday, the 3rd of June, a fluteplayer named Malin will make us three.
A while ago I started a translation project, which will be a part of our summer performance. I simply go through my old records looking for the most important songs. If they aren..t allready in swedish I translate them. Tenderly.
Many of the songs are guilty pleasure-ish and it..s hard turning them into something that isn..t all ironic. To find a believable nerve in a translated version of a song like Bed of Roses by Jon Bon Jovi, my favourite song when I was nine, is quite a task. I try my best.
Lionel Richie..s Easy Like a Sunday Morning, The Blowers Doughter by Damien Rice, Raining in Baltimore by Counting Crows and M. Ward..s Undertaker are other examples of songs I finished so far.
