About Me

adopt your own virtual pet!I truely believe Paracelsus had it right. I spend most of my life trying to ask as many questions as can be fit into the day and still want to know more. I curerntly spend all of my time taking care of my daughter, Aidan Ellysia Lynn Rombaugh, who was born July 6th, 2006. I will be working on adding pictures here soon. She is my entire life right now and I hope that in the future everyone will be able to see why I believe she is truly one of the most beautiful little babies ever to grace the face of this world. I know most parents say the same about their little bundles, but I am meerly passing on what all the people who've met her have to say... "Oh, She's so little..but oh, she's soooo beautiful!" I found out I was pregnant last November and have had my entire life turned upside-down ever since. Aidan was born with Hirschprung's Disease and has already had two major surgeries (including a colostomy) and is scheduled to have her third to reverse the colostomy on June 20th. My husband passed away back in December 2006 and we had to move back in with my family while I wait to be able to go back to work. Hopefully that will be soon, but Aidan has to be done with all of her extended hospital stays first. It has been a long and trying year for our family but our love has kept us strong enough to see it through.

My Interests

Animals, all kinds of art, most music, Sci-Fi & Fantasy stuff, psychology, Wicca and Paganism, books, movies (I especially like anything that falls outside of the classic Hollywood narrative) games or just about anything else that comes to mind.

I'd like to meet:

Paracelsus - Boy, do I have some questions for him... Triple H and Shaun Micheals - It's a weird crush thing. Angelina Jolee - She's someone I would love to spend time talking to about motherhood. Silver RavenWolf - I can't ask all my questions to a set of books. Janis Joplin - Just to say I did ;) Ann Rice - I really want to know what she has to say about ghosts, vampires and, of all things, Sleeping Beauty! and of course... anyone who is open-minded enough to talk about anything and everything with me!

Music:

Just about anything... I just can't sit through most Rap. I really like a weird variety that includes combinations of Chopin and Black Sabbath, Loreena McKennet and Megadeth, Me First and the Gimme Gimmes (a new favorite for my showtunes), lots of Sarah McLachlan and other girlies that I can sing along with when no one else is around. You name it ... I'll probably like it.

Queen - Bohemian Rhapsody (Original)

Movies:

Well ... I've seen Labyrinth over 500 times by now. Is that corny enough? Mostly I have been watching kids movies and cartoons with my munchkin. Anyone else like to watch weird movies by no name directors? I like them with or without subtitles and they can be very "girlie" or bloody-gorey-action-packed-blow-em-up types. I like 'em scary or psycological thrillers. My favorite ones tend to end with those around me saying things like "That was a f*cked up film!!!" I've also got this silly fascination with anime (not the little kiddie ones) and anything done with CGI. Donnie Darko, Hedwig and the Angry Inch, Pan's Labyrinth and Preaching to the Perverted are all on my must see list for those who like it a little different...

Television:

All I do now is watch TV. We usually watch Charmed, Law & Order, CSI, and sometimes WWE and MMA style "sports" as well as House.

Books:

Just ask, if I haven't already read it I really need to know about it... Not that I've had the free hands needed to even pick up a book lately

Heroes:

My daughter, Aidan, who has already suffered through more in her short life than many people would ever experience in their lives. Anyone who can truly live by what they expect of others... "An' it harm none, do as ye will."
