My mission is to create a page that honors Pink and the person that she is. I'll do my best to give you the latest pictures of and news about the best damn singer on the planet!
Because I admire Pink's dedication to PETA and other organizations I will be posting blogs and bulletins to give you the opportunity to do your part. Thank you to all my friends for the support you've given me along the way, and I hope you enjoy - and will continue to enjoy the page!
Pink
Pink was born Alecia Beth Moore on September 8, 1979, in Doylestown, Pennsylvania - her parents are Vietnam veteran James Moore and nurse Judy Kugel, and she has one brother, Jason Moore. During Alecia’s childhood, her father sang to (and with) her, and it was his singing and guitar playing that first inspired her to become a singer. As a young teen, Alecia used songwriting as an outlet for her feelings, and some lyrics were deep and dark enough in character to worry her mother. At the age of 14, Alecia started performing in Philadelphia clubs, and she would often sneak out of the house to do so. When Alecia was 16, she was discovered by L.A. Reid and joined R&B trio Choice, who signed a record deal with LaFace Records. The trio released the single “Key To My Heart,†which was featured in the 1996 film “Kazaam.†However, their album remained unreleased. L.A. Reid felt that Choice wasn’t strong enough as a group and offered Alecia a record deal as a solo artist, and – although reluctant – she accepted. Alecia now became Pink. There are several explanations to where the name Pink came from. According to Pink herself, she and her friends had a favorite movie; “Reservoir Dogs,†and she was named after the movie’s loud-mouth character, Mr. Pink – she even has a tattoo on her inner left thigh to confirm her explanation.
PETA
Pink is a dedicated member of and spokeswoman for PETA – People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals – which protests against cruelty to animals in countless ways. Among other things, Pink turned down British Prince William’s invitation to perform at his 21st birthday because he goes fox hunting. She has also written a letter to the English Queen protesting against the use of real bearskin in the foot guards’ hats. Pink has also criticized singer Beyoncé for wearing fur. In 2006, Pink released a statement, criticizing the Australian wool industry for their use of “mulesing†– a statement that caused much controversy. In January 2007, Pink stated that she had been misled my PETA and had not done enough research on her own before lending her name to the campaign. On August 21st, 2007, Pink performed in honor of PAW – Party for Animals Worldwide, which highlighted her involvement with animal cruelty problems.

Marriage
Pink proposed to her longtime boyfriend, motocross racer Carey Hart, in 2005 by holding up a sign (pit board) for him during a race in Mammoth Lake, California. After almost causing an accident, Carey got off the track and accepted. Pink then told him to go and finish the race, because "I don't marry losers." The couple married on a beach in Costa Rica on January 7, 2006, at sunset. Pink and Carey separated in February 2008, but got back together during the spring of 2009 :)
