The Best of Blue Valentine

Blue Valentine was founded by George-Mario Batista and Johnna K. Zwernemann around the turn of the century. The live venue portion of the group could include other various members. George and Johnna wrote and performed all the origional music in the studio as well as in public. The formula worked where George would (usually) write the music and Johnna would (usually) add lyrics. and do most of the singing. In the studio, Batista would play guitars, bass, mandolin, and ocassional harmonicas. Zwernemann would play flute, piano, accordian, penny whistle, guitar, recorder, harmonica, and whatever else she was asked to learn to play for the part.(very talented). They split up in early 2006. Though Blu Val is no more, and I (George-Mario) am on to other projects, including a solo carreer, I wanted a myspace page to put the recordings of these very interesting songs since they are no longer (for the most part) being performed.They are copywritten by ASCAP and were submitted to the Library of Congress.
