Mike Albright

Mike Albright is a hard rock/metal guitarist from SE Pennsylvania. His debut CD, "When Lightning Strikes", was released in 2005 by the countrys largest indie label, Statue Records Group LA. Mike's unique style of playing is a combination of hard hitting rhyhms and blistering, yet melodic solo work. He got his start in music at the age of around 5 years old. Mikes brother, Dave, was in a band called Stone Cold Fever, and Dave showed his younger brother how to play the bass lines to the then new song, "Theme For An Imaginary Western", by Mountain. He was hooked. Mike was in several bands through his younger years, and after a long break from the band scene, he posted a few original songs on musicplaces.com. The songs got the attention of an A&R rep from Statue Records, and within 6 months, "Lightning" was released. Mike is currently working on his 2nd CD, "Eclipse". A long term work in progress, this monster of a record is expected to be good to go when Avenger Records launches their platform record company in 2009. Mike is also the lead guitarist for the band, SPELLBREAKER. The band will head right into the studio to finish their debut CD, and then will take the tri-state area by storm after the CD's release.
