Anguile - Song Writer, Vocalist, Djembe, Arrangements. Born in Paris from a Gabonese Father (Gabon Africa) and a French Mother, Anguile moved to Gabon when he was 2 month old. He lived there for 10 years or so and then came back to France until he was 20 and then he went back to Gabon for a few years prior to coming to the US in 1989.
Anguile's music is African Reggae from the 70's and 80's with influence from various genres like Soul, R&B, Disco, Jazz and Afro Caribbeans rhythms.After recording his first CD in 2007 in Brooklyn NY with Rashani and Ed Robinson, for a release soon on Zamani Records.Anguile finally started a band to back him up in 2007, and that band became The Dubtown Rockers now operating separately. In the near future Anguile will be backed by various musicians in the Dallas or Montreal area.Anguile will make sure you have a good time and with guest on occasion like Rashani or Winston Watson of the Meditations, you will be transported to a happy place and astonished at how deep this band sound..So stay tuned to our calendar here and on our various myspace cause you wont want to miss our next Gig..
