Posthuman is a modern melodic death metal band from Friesland / Groningen, the Netherlands.
At the end of 2007, in the North of the Netherlands, Posthuman was formed by Mark, Robin, Sander and Johan, with the idea of playing good melodic metal.
Soon they found a bassplayer in Jelle, and the line-up was complete.
Within a few months, Posthuman assembled an innovative mix of power and melody by combining traditional metal elements with synthesizer sounds.
Listening to Posthuman reminds one of bands like Killswitch Engage, Scar Symmetry and sometimes Soilwork.
Summer 2008, they came out of the shadow of obscurity with their first demo 'Into The Void'. After that, they carried on with their attempt to create futuristic melodies, thrashing riffs and grooving rhythms. Blending power- and death metal with sounds from the future into modern melodic death metal, Posthuman is now trying to find it's own distinctive path.
