Hi Everyone!
So glad to be back on Myspace! Here I am in 2008 with "Something New" my first official album or collection of tunes. Lol. I am excited about what God is doing in my life out here in Nashville! Wow, never thought that I'd be here doing my thing!
Born and raised in Florida I've always loved music. I received my first piano at the age of one and my first record player at the age of six. From the age of six until now (mid-thirties)
I've always wanted to be "Ms. Quincy Jones" with a touch of film composition.
From middle school to high school, I played piano, clarinet and trombone. Then my freshmen year of college (back in the early 90's) I was greatly influenced by Angela Christie, one of the most amazing female gospel/jazz saxophonists in the world.
After an Angela Christie concert I told my friends that I could play the sax too, and they laughed because I didn't even one. Long story short, I bought myself a Yamaha alto student model sax and lifted it up to God and asked Him to teach me to play. About three months after, I had my first gig and I began to play in the Tampa Bay area.
Over ten plus years later I am out here doing my thing, this time with a twist. I now have a studio where I produce jingles, custom event demos and film compositions. I've taken a break from the road as a professional saxophonist and live sound engineer to earn my degree in Music Business. I graduated May '07 with my first degree in Commercial Music and Recording Technology. I am presently working on my second degree in Music Business and Entertainment at Belmont University. And from here only God knows....
While I only have a few semesters left at Belmont, I plan to hone my skills in music supervision for t.v. and film. Shea Studios is my personal little recording studio where I just kick back and have fun recording my music and occasionally adding some stuff to the music of my friends and other artist. But for the most part it's just me singing, writing, producing, engineering and playing everything that is in my heart.
Sit back and enjoy the music here on my page where I'll periodically change up my music pace to bless you. So don't hesitate to hit me back with what you think.
Thanks for your support!Much love and respect,
'Shea Clark
