About Megan Linville
Megan believes that music is in her blood, personality and genetic make up, partially thanks to her grandfather, Jerry McBee. As a songwriter himself, he is one who greatly influenced her passion for music and her determination to follow through the door he left open for her. Since age five when Megan debuted on stage in front of about 250 people, she has sung at multiple weddings and county celebrations, in plays, musicals and local cafes. Throughout her younger years Megan confesses she would sing a Disney song at every annual school talent show but she says that the unique sound she has today was somewhat influenced by an eclectic mix of country artists, which includes Kenny Chesney, Sugarland and Jason Aldean.
This twenty year old is aware that the music business is a tough one to crack, but she undeniably has the mindset and self-determination to thrive. "My inner voice was always telling me that I was going to choose this, even from a very early age," she said. "When I graduated high school I put my total focus into my music career; I have my blinders on and am focusing straight ahead."
Although she has only been out of high school for a short time, Megan definitely has a great jump on her life-long dream. She took private piano lessons for about 10 years and although she took up guitar to aid in writing songs not too long ago, her skills are already impressive. Megan has been fortunate enough to write with a few gifted guitarists who facilitate turning her lyrics into remarkable melodies. In August of 2007, Megan recorded an album at the historical Cash Cabin Studio with Grammy Award winning producer John Carter Cash, the only son of Johnny Cash and June Carter Cash.
She knows that although it takes a lot of time and work to prepare music to perform, there is still more to a good entertainer that people will pay to see. While watching concerts over the years, Megan has learned the importance of incorporating great stage presence with extraordinary vocals. She admires entertainers who she says "are more than just vocalists, but rather those who have intense, energetic stage shows."
Throughout her music career, Megan hopes to stay true to her country roots and keep her audiences entertained, no matter how many or few people are present. This country girl, who is proud of her heritage, has a powerful voice that she uses to "deliver a power-packed performance" every time.

Not only did Megan organize and participate in the first annual Cystic Fibrosis Benefit Pickin' Party held just outside of Nashville in the fall of 2007, but she is planning the second one for fall '08. Her songs are continuously showcased on several radio stations including Yarra Valley FM 99.1 in Melbourne, Australia and MD-MCWC Radio of Mora, Sweden, the largest country radio station in the country. The Thomas Miller Show in California and Unsigned Musicians Internet Radio also generously feature her music. Megan was chosen for "Featured Artist of the Week" in January 2008 and is a favorite on several myspace pages geared toward artists, such as EXPOSURE, a page dedicated to making sure talented people on Myspace don't go unrecognized. She was featured throughout the month of June on the "New Country Music Fan Page" and has recently done some fantastic interviews with CountryStarsOnline, Ladies of Country Music and Today's Country Magazine.
She has been keeping busy lately with frequent songwriting sessions, working to improve her guitar skills and of course singing every chance she has.
