WHIZZ BANG

Biography:
Whizz-Bang is the newest representatives of the hungarian nu swing wave. The idea of the Whizz-Bang neo swing band came from Laszlo Tamasi to make a gang who plays the well known swing tunes and some own songs in a new style as the first in Hungary. The sounds like Big Bad Voodoo Daddy, The Brian Setzer Orchestra, Cherry Poppin Daddies, Royal Crown Revue etc.
The appearance of the band call up the feeling of the Cotton Club in New York City and the rock and roll era of the 50s. The advantige of the concerts that beside the big shows the little club gigs has his own feeling as well. The people likes it and the music gives an unbelievable buzz for the show.
The music of the band is built from the traditions like Duke Ellington, Glenn Miller, Flecher Henderson, Woody Herman, Cab Calloway, Louis Armstrong etc., but sounds like today some pop-rock feeling.
The band plays on several klubs, festivals and partys not just in Hungary but in Europe too. We playd in Slovakia, Czeck Republic, Austria and Romania. The audiance everywhere where very extroverted and they enjoyd the music by us which means melodic, youthful, breezy music whith a lot of fun, dance & party.
The band released his firs cd in 2005 called „Double or Nothing” and then came out our new cd in the end of 2007 called „The Swing is not Game!”
