About Me

On April 4th of 2000 I heard the Good News of Jesus. My life was a wreck and I couldn't make any sense of anything. Then I heard about how Jesus died for really really bad people like myself. I didn't think that God would want anything to do with me but that day I found out the truth that God doesn't want anyone to go to hell. He provided the Perfection that none of us can acheive and offers it freely. Our only appropriate response can be... "Yes Lord, I believe." I had already been playing guitar for 11 years when I became a believer in Jesus Christ. After I was saved, I didn't know what to do as far as music was concerned. I know that God has given me a natural ability for music and I try to keep it "real" as I can. I don't look at the guitar as just some peice of wood with some metal wires on it that makes a cool noise. I see the guitar as an extension of my musical "voice". When I hold a guitar I, figuratively speaking of course, become "one" with the instrument. It's as natural as singing or whistling or snapping your fingers. I want to convey genuine feelings and life experiences through my God-given ability and, hopefully, when someone listens to a song I've written they are blessed and moved emotionally to ponder the things of God and the things of life. Thanks for reading this and I hope you enjoy the music. -Steve Shogren- travel layout powered by HOT FreeLayouts.com / MyHotComments
