In early 2007, the musicians that were to eventually form Scopes Monkey Trial convened to work on some material that Lance and Chad had been working on since the breakup of their previous band. The musical chemistry was immediately apparent. As the months continued, more songs were composed between the three members, band cohesion tightened and arrangements perfected. Dubbed Scopes Monkey Trial in the fall of 2007, the band now felt ready to perform in front of other Metal fanatics. A demo is currently in the works, and will be available this spring.
