The City Kill

About Me

The City Kill are a young post-punk/noise-rock/drone band from Copenhagen, Denmark, made up of three Danes and an Australian. The band combine their own brand of sinister, reverb-driven guitar drone with noise-rock influences and textures. The band started in late-2007, when school friends Bjarke, Tobias and Signe decided to play together. The band received increasingly positive responses from their early shows, and a self-recorded demo from December 2007 got them positive reviews on the well respected transmission.nu and lowcut.dk music sites, as well as causing a lot of talk in underground rock circles in Copenhagen. They continued to operate and perform as a three-piece until October 2008, when they were joined by Matthew, an Australian musician living in Copenhagen. Since then they have gained an increasing number of fans by word-of-mouth, and have recorded a 5 track LP, scheduled for release in September of 2009 on the Copenhagen-based Red Tape label. For booking enquiries simply write this profile, or contact:Tobias: satire-john @ ofir.dk or call 3022 3303
