I've been writing music ever since I can remember. I started playing piano at the age of 6. A year later learned to play the trumpet, french horn and virtually every brass instrument after that. I also played a little percussion and drums. I was in all the school bands, regional, state and won the Junior High Outstanding Band Member Award in 1980. After school I played some in the US Coast Guard Band.In 1986 I taught myself how to spin records by listening to the mix shows on the radio in Miami, Fl. After my 4 year tour in the Coast Guard, I got a gig at a club in Spartanburg, SC, eventually moved to Charlotte, NC to work at a club and there, began doing remixes for WCKZ Kiss 102 FM and spent many evenings involved with the mix-show called the "Thunderstorm". From there on to a remix service called "Clubtraxx", then up to "TRC - The Remix Club" based out of California.I eventually began writing my own material and incorporating it into my remixes. In 1994 I broke out on my own in pursuit of the American Dream... I wanted to be a "Rock Star"!! Not really... but I did want to do whatever I could with music. I had a God given gift. In 1996 I wrote my first Jazz CD entitled "Thoughts of You". Obviously no one picked it up. lol. I expanded my talents to creating music beds and "Cheer & Dance Team" competition edits. I worked with many major universities, pro cheerleading squads, NCA, UCA... you name it, I was probably involved somehow. I opened a full production studio in 1997 with no money and very few clients. lol! What the hell was I thinking?!! Then my one and only savior for income took a bad turn. My moneymaker cheerleading CD got stuck in UPS warehouses when they decided to go on strike! OUCH!So much for the studio. Then the time came when I had to choose the night life or the real world. Needless to say my hopes for being a "Rock Star" faded away... but my passion has never died. I now write for the love of writing and play for the same. If by chance I can still touch someone, through my gift of music, on this site... well then just maybe I've done with my gift, just what I'm supposed to. :-)I hope you enjoy!
