..I was born and raised in Washington, D.C. My second novel, "Fatherhood . . . What You Ought to Know!" is NOW AVAILABLE. I wrote this book specifically for African-American boys to teach them that they also have a responsibility to prevent pregnancies. The book deals with real life situations (i.e. violence, absent fathers, HIV, etc.) that boys are growing up with all across the nation. Educating the boys is imperative if we ever intend to combat the teen pregnancy epidemic."Fatherhood . . . What You Ought To Know!" is an eye opener to show teens the many responsibilities associated with being a father. Boys today tend to equate their manhood with how many babies they make, not understanding that being a father is much more than buying milk and pampers. With proper education and guidance boys will understand that they are just as responsible for preventing unwanted pregnancies as girls are. This book teaches boys the importance of being apart of their child's life, even if their father wasn't apart of theirs.
