I like patterns and pretty things with ribbons on them. I do not like sixth year. I do like art. I do not like liquorice. I like the kind of sweets you used to get in the nineties. I don't like this new 5-cent-per-jelly rule. I like the fact that I am legally allowed to drive, despite the fact that I can't. I don't like that I can't play a musical instrument. I like Leonard Cohen and Damien Rice. I don't like any music with scary amounts of percussion - drums aren't SUPPOSED to be the main instrument. I like cereal. I don't like being ignored. I like going abroad. I don't like getting burnt.

Books:

Recently John Banville's The Book of Evidence, a deeply disturbing book. Also recently, Atonement by Ian McEwan, which I found better than the film in that it gives a more rounded idea of the three viewpoints. Currently, a book called Star of the Sea, which is looking promising.
