The Mixtape Volume 1: A Taste of Things to Come is an upcoming charity project from the Crew at Excess Dog. It’s always been our mission to bring you the best in underground/unsigned music from the world over, while injecting some eclectic vibes into your unsuspecting ear holes!
As a prelude to our mass-media-encompassing entertainment/promotion/production empire, the purpose of the mixtape is to bring a truly underground selection of music, spanning a variety of different genre, to true music fans worldwide, whilst also fighting to get such artists an extra in the way to true success. All profit from this project will be donated towards a charity which will be decided by everybody on the Excess Dog friends list after a target amount has been raised. All money invested in this project will be reinvested into producing more copies and producing similar promotional/charity ideas that we have.
If you are an artist of any genre and would like to be considered for a place on the mixtape please contact us at;
[email protected]
Or alternatively just message us here or at the Excess Dog profile;

All artists involved in the project will have their email/myspace/contact details printed in the inlay, and will receive their own copy of the final project. If you think you have a different sound, or excel at what you do, and want to reach out that little bit further to a world-wide audience, then please don’t hesitate to contact us. Beyond simply appearing on the mixtape we will always be happy to do whatever we can to help you out in the future, and will set-up your own online content on our official website viewable from its launch.
Finally, we welcome all opinions, ideas and criticism regarding this project with the aim to produce the best quality product possible. Please take a moment from time to time to check out some of the artists already involved in this project, subscribe to the blog for future updates, and most importantly view the world with an open mind – You never know what you could be missing!
