Sheshequin Buckskinners is a non-profit organization created by membership. Our purpose being to promote and to protect the heritage, history and the frontier spirit of our forefathers. Also to keep alive the individual spirit and way of life of the early pioneers. Our major goal being the re-creation of and the living history of life in North America from 1700-1840.
The Lycoming Creek Sportman Inc was formed around 1939 and Sheshequin Buckskinners in 1977. We host open shoots every second Sunday of the month starting at noon. Our riffle range is 140 yards and we also have a trap shoot. All Black Powder guns are excepted, curently we have no inline shooters but we do make exceptions for them.
Sheshequin Buckskinners club is situated on a beautiful 27 acres located near Marsh Hill, PA. The Sheshequin Path was a major Native American trail in the U.S. State of Pennsylvania that ran between two Native American villages:"French Margaret's Town" on the West Branch Susquehanna River (part of modern day Williamsport in Lycoming County) and "Sheshequin" on the North Branch of the Susquehanna River (modern day Ulster Township, in Bradford County). The community name derives from Indian term for "place of a rattle"
We hold our anuanl meetings the second Wednesday of each month.
Our club offers Hot Water,showers Wood, RV hook up, toiletries, cook house, and a picnic pavillion.
DIRECTIONS
From Williamsport, PA - head north on Rt. 15. Take Trout Run exit (Rt.14) North for approximately 9.1 miles. Turn right onto Pleasant Stream Road for approximately 3/4 mile. Turn left on Sportsmans Club Road. Entrance to club on left.
Club Memeberships for 2008 are due. To get a new one you must come to a meeting and be elected in. To re-new your membership please send a $25.00 check to Lycomming Creek Sportsmen Inc and attned the next meeting in January.
