About Me

Well, they call me "Hippie" I guess cuz I used to act like a hippie. I love classic rock!! I love Lynyrd Skynyrd, but I am full out Mexican. I swear I'm as brown as the beans in my burrito. lol. I am a second year at UCLA. I have no major (in fact I hate when people ask me that now), but chances are it will be either history or psychology or classics or sociology. I'm very indecisive. Oh and I work at a food place on campus, I'll serve you something good. Hey you ever see the movie WAITING...j/k. I am a proud mentor at Kennedy Elementary School in East Los with Latinas Guiding Latinas, or as the wee'uns call me "Big G" (cuz I am the older Christina and my last name is Galvan. entiendes? bueno? bueno) Well yeah I like hanging out with my friends doing absolutely nothing. My Interests

Really I do nothing. I enjoy the simple pleasures of sleeping, eating lays con limon, and picking the daisies on the way back to the dorms. When I am not too lazy I like to sew, paint, listen to mi musica and read.

I'd like to meet:

I would like to meet an alien, god(?), and the man who will sweep me off my feet.

Music:

Basically everything played on 93.1 JACK FM. I love rock. All types of rock. I enjoy classic rock, psychadelic, ska, reggae, oldies, hardcore (punk and techno), hair metal, motown and new wave.

Movies:

Chick flicks and comedies are what I watch. Drew Barrymore makes the best movies. I love NEVER BEEN KISSED, EVER AFTER and THE WEDDING SINGER. From the 1980s such classics as BILL AND TEDS EXCELLENT ADVENTURE, PRETTY IN PINK, THE BREAKFAST CLUB, and SIXTEEN CANDLES. Besides being incredibly gorgeous, Johnny Depp is a pretty good actor too. EDWARD SCISSORHANDS, PIRATES OF THE CARRIBEAN, BLOW, FEAR AND LOATHING IN LAS VEGAS, BENNY AND JOON, WHATS EATING GILBERT GRAPE. Besides that I love **MOULIN ROUGE,** THE WATER BOY, SHREK, SNOW WHITE AND THE SEVEN DWARFS, BEAUTY AND THE BEAST, VIVA LAS VEGAS, AMELIE, SHES ALL THAT, THE NOTEBOOK, THE LITTLE MERMAID and TITANIC.

Television:

When I have time for tv I watch THE SIMPSONS, GREYS ANATOMY, SEINFELD, BUFFY THE VAMPIRE SLAYER, MATLOCK, FAMILY GUY, and THE PRICE IS RIGHT.

Books:

I enjoyed THE ALCHEMIST, LITTLE WOMEN, ANNE OF GREEN GABLES, PRIDE AND PREJUDICE, JOHNNY GOT HIS GUN and THE WITCH OF BLACKBIRD POND. THE AENEID, THE ODYSSEY, METAMORPHOSES and other classics are awesome too.

Heroes:

I admire JOAN OF ARC, ELVIS, OPRAH, GHANDI, MARTIN LUTHER KING JR, BOB DYLAN, SCOOBY AND SHAGGY, THE DALI LAMA and SUPERMAN.
