About Me

laura and g met ages ago and still know each other. sometimes they go the cinema and sometimes they make up songs. the first two songs we made up were in french and not very good but all the rest are all in english and better than the first two. we are planning on getting five or six songs ready for an EP thingy which would be pretty cool. everything is lo-fi and lots of things were recorded on tape. a piece of 7" vinyl with our songs on it is the dream. we also help out a weeny bit with little my. you should check them out. and hornby pylons too.
new friends and cds: errr, we seem to be getting loads of new friends recently which is really cool but really weird because we haven't done much in the way of gigs for ages (but thanks a whole load to anyone who added us!). That's not to say we have been sitting around twiddling our pinky fingers, we've recorded a whole veritable (?!) salad bowl of new songs ("my first and index" is my favourite, wrote and recorded yesterday afternoon!) and getting ready for little my and hornby pylons gigs (check out their profiles for details), Hopefully gigs and some kind of cd/ep thingy soon too g (14/9/06)
gigs a plenty:Well! things have been unexpectedly busy for us recently with 2 last minute gigs in one week! after our unplugged Europa set - which was hella good fun - we played for peppermintpatty at Chapter Arts Centre which was really good, the sound was ace and the crowd joined in clapping along! we also played a Freakshow gig at Dempsey’s with about an hours notice! I think it was the most fun I've ever had at a gig! I had a fit of giggles! We have made s few more CDs and sold quite a few at gigs...and we are now in the middle of recording brand new songs for a new 'EP', probably something a little different to the oh no telephone, but I'm sure it'll still sound like us! Keep an eye out for upcoming gigs...24th April at Clwb is our next one! Little My are hibernating at the moment as Little My himself is in Canada for a little while...Hornby Pylons have been gigging without me (due to me being up north) and I am singing with Pagan Wonder Lu on a few songs as part of The Volunteers! It's all go! L (13/4/07)
Last night: was excellent! We hadn't played in a while (cos i was in Canada!) and we had Andy join us on bass and guitar so that was cool too. The sound was great meaning everyone could here themselves and David's violining was top! Thanks to all you guys who came to support Oxjam and to see us (especially those of you who saw us for the first time) and a massive thank you to you guys who bought CDs and said nice things - you made me blush! Our next gig is in Deby for the Treetops charity gig...but keep an eye out on here for more dates in and around Cardiff nearer Christmas!! Peace out.
