I'm a financial analyst working in the copyright/intellectual property world for the performing rights organization BMI twiddling the knobs from my workstation that keep songwriters like Lil Jon, Santana, TI, John Lennon (Yoko Ono who gets his money), Elton John, System of a Down, and somewhere around 400,000 other songwriters and publishers, making mad loot. Basically, we turn spins into cash. I'm a classically trained violinist/violist...lived in London, Miami, several weeks in Peru performing in orchestras in Trujillo and Lima and tons of freelancing at random gigs across the States back in the day. On the industry side of things though; I used to work in the Atlanta music scene for a minute organizing events, producing showcases and award shows. I've worked with many of the top songwriters, producers, and music publishing companies affiliating them with BMI and working their accounts in the Writer/Publisher relations department.
