Othala started out back in 2000 as an alternative project around a black-metal band called Arven that we had both played in. Othala is our effort to create a musical representation of those interests and reflections we have on the soul and beliefs of the Norse culture.Othala has so far only been a studio project, but we have recently started playing with two other individuals with a view to playing live in the near future. We hope that it will be possible for us to go out and play some concerts this coming summer. Our goal is to perform our first live-show this summer somewhere in Denmark, and our concerts will most definitely contain a highly personal visual expression where fire and location in unison will constitute the context for a, hopefully, positive experience for our audience.Othala represents home, culture, tradition, ancestry and all that which has made us what we are...
