Cyane was the Queen of the Amazons of the Steppes. She invited Xena to become an Amazon, only to be betrayed and brutally killed by Xena. Due to a spell put on them by Alti, Cyane and her warriors were trapped in the Amazon Land of the Dead until Xena was able to kill the evil shaman.
