Unlike any other, this is live drum'n'bass. This band further exemplifies
the humans' ability to reverse engineer their most favored dance musics
and create a newform sound. Notice the dark and menacing jungle beats,
as well as the mystical drum'n'bass -very advanced. Sawka's bionic
mannerisms are of key note (implants?) -as these are not samples but
complex drum patterns performed by the drummer on a drum set. As well,
Lightfoot and Z's gifted rhythm provisions -frenetic super tempo rhythms and
subsonic, modulating basslines (not unlike that of fellow pioneers PHOTEK,
CLIFFORD GILBERTO, or SQUAREPUSHER)- fuel the psychotic throb of the
band's beautifully linear sound. The live show further deconstructs a dj's
drum'n'bass set by phasing in and out of different source material, fashioning
a continuous, seamless mix of new & recorded material and expanses of
