It's about escaping from the mundane to a perfect summer that exists only in a memory in which the unpleasant has been erased by time. I envision an attic bedroom with glow-in-the-dark sticker stars put all over the slanted ceilings and drapes that block out any trace of light. This one was started on a napkin during a few slow hours when I was at work as a waiter at the sushi bar in Laramie, Wyoming. The Koreans that ran the place couldn't pronounce my name, so for the summer I worked there I went by "Korku." ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Dollar's Worth of Duct Tape: Written as a farewell to my camp friends before I left for the mission field to Barcelona. The undecipherable lyrics are disjointed references to sailing, fire, and warm water, and the unforgettable traditions forged and finished on the shores of Bear Lake. Long live the Smooth and Creamy! ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Little Angel: I was commissioned to write a lullaby for my niece Elliona (my little brother's daughter) who was born VERY premature and spent much of her first month in an incubator. The song is actually (loosely) based on a scripture from the New Testament, Luke 16:22, which contains the phrase "...carried by the angels..."
