About Me

I built this city. And I'm willing to share it. I laugh in the face of gender stereotypes. I laugh in the face of clowns. I promise not to laugh in your face, if you promise not to laugh in mine, and you promise not to act like a clown. I have conversations with people in the apple sauce aisle of the grocery store, and I like to think that I have nothing to hide. I am very comfortable in my own skin - I hope you are comfortable in yours. I am working on a love affair with my tummy. I eat peanut butter & bacon sandwiches and I put peas in my mac-&-cheese. I dig good ol' fashioned skinny dipping. I dig feeling like a revelation. I dig feminism -- humanism. I like aluminum crochet hooks and bamboo knitting needles. I like to make warm things for people I love. Sometimes I'm disruptive and I go sit in timeOUT. I appear to be obsessed with the Garden State soundtrack, and with jalapeno hummus and Sun Chips. I love the clear night sky, violent thunderstorms, fuzzy blankets, and funky socks. I love my Sweetie and all of his cute parts. I love people as individuals, not as genders or races or ages or religions. My favorite color is pink-and-purple-polka-dots (always has been), and sometimes I lay down in the shower to think. Here is my mission for all of us: Be part of your local commotion. Speak your mind at all costs. Go without underwear at least once a week. Support your independent coffee shops and book sellers. And make a point every day to rock your own party -- nobody else can rock it for you.
You are Emma Goldman! You are the mama of
Anarchist/Communist feminism and you inspired
millions to embrace the labor movement. Without
ever directly saying so, you directed efforts
toward saving wymyn and children from
exploitation. Oh yeah, you were also a total
sexpot!
Which Western feminist icon are you?
