About Me

Visit Our Web Site! When The Last Season: The Life and Demolition of Memorial Stadium first came out in 2002, it was hailed by the Baltimore media for capturing the colorful characters that made this home of the storied Colts and Orioles the "World's Loudest Outdoor Insane Asylum."Five years later we're releasing a collector's edition of the documentary with additional stand alone interviews with Johnny Unitas, Brooks Robinson, Cal Ripken, Lenny Moore, Art Donovan, Tom Matte, Wild Bill Hagey and more along with reclaimed vintage photographs from the News American archives. The Last Season stands as the singular testament to not just a landmark but to an era where sports, like the players, were accessible to a city in a way no longer possible.By weaving stories told by sports heros with recollections from the salt of the earth faithful fans, this 72 minute documentary reflects the passions and rowdiness of a stadium where you could bring in your own beer, and the cheers emanated from the fans, not from a prompting scoreboard. This collectors' edition is an ideal gift for anyone with their heartstrings still attached to 33rd Street. This is just one project, be it, a project that I've been moored to for better or for worse. You know what they say, people who don't progress, wilt and die. So I've been fighting stagnation with the urge to improve what was a professional highlight -- doing this documentary. Do I go back and do a collector's edition and revisist alot of old work or do I just go for new inspiration. I'm trying to do both. I've just released the collector's edition and I'm continuing with other projects from following the Baltimore Arabbers, the last horse and cart peddler's in the country, to focusing on a old timey fiddler to pursuing my journalistic career, which is suppose to be my bread and butter.
