About Me

It has been a long, difficult and windy road to here.
I grew up living around the world, never a national of anywhere, always welcoming of new cultures, with sparse and scattered friendships. I am a cultured, middle-class, lonely person with heart.
I used to sing Madonna to a hairbrush in the bathroom because it was forbidden in my bedroom. I was to become a Biochemist with a 40,000 euro a year starting salary. Rebelliously, I ended up a singing actor. My voice could do many things, many styles. I became a professional, a vehicle for others who knew what they wanted to say and how they wanted it said. I listened dutifully and fervently because I was grateful others were giving me their voice.
But I was not satisfied, I needed to go searching. I started writing for therapeutic reasons stashing it all away in a grotty folder afraid to show even myself. I thought I could never be good enough for the world.
I joined a TV POPSTARS band called HI-5, easy success, instant ‘apparent’ security, total brief recognition. I was doing hand-stands to an adoring crowd singing plastic words while my own voice was screaming in my head for attention.
One day I feebly threw that voice a bone. The grotty folder came out to bite me in the ass.
And here it is: at least a sample of it. It is raw, it is angry, it is uncomfortable at times and in your face but it is mine and it is true.
I love music so much my mind weeps when it touches me. I am a professional performer with perhaps too much experience on stage. I have been to hell and back psychologically fighting my own demons throughout what others would call a ‘gifted’ life.
I am here to present who I am to you at this stage in my life. I am very proud to be here.
Thank you for listening.
P.S. The 'official' biography is still available to all those who want it: just send me a message :-)
The next biography will hopefully include less of the word 'I' and more of the word 'we' : all help to that effect is definitely welcome!
