Fronted by Jack D’Molay,The Pyes were the in house band for the Pye record label.
Mostly uncredited on the label's recordings, they did manage to released just one LP using the name The Pyes -
"Live at The Lava Lounge" released on Pye Records 1966.Two singles were taken from the album "Toss and Pot" and "Pye's Groove", both demand high prices on the current collecters market.
The band split in 1970.
The Pyes feature the Acid Jazz Records compilation "Hammond Street 3". And the download only album " The Best Of Hammond Street".
