About Me

hello! my name is stephen, but for the purposes of all this music stuff, you can call me jam on bread. i play the ukulele and write pretty basic songs using simple rhyming patterns. i'm quite limited, talent-wise, but i try.
i'm from grimsby, but live in manchester. i'm 22 years old and people from school keep adding me on facebook and showing me pictures of them and their children/husbands/wives/successful lives. this annoys me. i'm at university doing IBRARIANSHIP which is proper aces. i don't need no kids! (except the band no kids, they're grate)
i'm nice, or at least i hope i am. want to find out? you can contact me on here for a chat if you like, about whatever you want. or you can email me at it sounded better in my head at google mail dot com. be warned though, sometimes i just forget to reply to things. if you really want to talk to me, keep trying and eventually i'll respond. if anyone wants to book me for a gig, that'd be ace. i don't ask for much/anything, and i don't mind playing in your kitchen if you want to invite people round to watch an incompetent bearded man singing songs about sea creatures.
my song 'isopod in my bathroom' will be appearing on the 'songs about giant isopods' compilation soon, and my song 'i wish i was a manatee' will be appearing on the next and final small town america compilation. yay.
i'm on a brainlove records compilation with people like cats in paris, pagan wanderer lu, napoleon iiird, winston echo, bearsuit, keyboard choir, the empty set and other ace people. go to the brainlove records myspace in my top friends or message me to get one.
i'm also on a series two records compilation with LOADS of bands from around the world. it's an amazing record that you should totally get. go on the series two records profile that's in my top friends to get yourself a copy. so far i have played THIRTY gigs, including a week long tour that i enjoyed very much. i've particularly enjoyed playing with the likes of superman revenge squad, my first tooth, 4 or 5 magicians, tesselators, library tapes, shrieking violets, pete green, cats in paris, pagan wanderer lu, napoleon iiird, the empty set, capitol k, fonda 500, foxes, numberdan, LAKE, half-handed cloud, middle ones, mat riviere, sam hill, chris alcxxk, winston echo, the manhattan love suicides, a sunny day in glasgow, awash with antler, bearsuit, applicants, the middle ones, the research, keyboard choir, capitol k, calvin johnson, hoe cakes, planet earth, napoleon iiird, the deirdres, roxanne:the early years and frankie machine.
