BIOGRAPHY I started playing the guitar at the age of 7 or 8 with a nylon guitar my father had, I used to learn the songs I liked by listening to them and trying to play them, first I used to get them all wrong but it definitively worked as ear training, after a couple of years I had access to my first electric guitar. it was a Gibson Les Paul like guitar but made by a Korean obscure brand called Blessing, and a 30 watts crate amp a gr-30 or something like that, so I got practice with the electric guitar and after a while I started writing little melodies and my two brothers also play so they used to help me by playing some riffs I asked them to play along with me, we also used to practice metallica songs like the beginning of one and nothing else matters, fade to black etc... then when my brothers didn't want or had no time to play along with me I used to record the riffs in a cassette tape and I developed a system to record stuff over my riffs and they started being little songs with two or three different parts, then my father gave me a Yamaha keyboard that helped me a lot because I started having more possibilities in my composition and started recording arrangements with the keyboard as well and I decided I needed something more professional to record my songs, so I started working my ass off in a random place to get money to buy a computer so finally after a while I had a computer still working with windows 98 and cakewalk 8.0 installed, I had no idea of what I was doing, but that’s how I learned how to record and use cakewalk, at that time I was playing in a rock cover band Plasma, then I bought my Ibanez guitar and another Ibanez g10 and another Ibanez rg-250, and a zoom 505 pedal board and then an ART rack effect’s processor unit with midi foot switch controller, I worked with my old friends from high school in a band project called sybil's tongue but we could never gather enough musicians, I started playing in a speed metal band called erogena and we opened concerts for a couple of well known bands like Stratovarious and Agora, we toured for a while, after that a digitech genesis III and then a boss ME-50 which I profoundly love for it’s simplicity, then I formed a band called Scapegrace back in 2003-2004 recorded some demos I produced in my home studio and played some shows but as the singer had to move to Toronto, we couldn’t continue playing at that time, then the other guitar player also moved to Toronto, and I couldn’t do it at that time so they recorded some songs in Toronto. Then a friend contacted me to produce his demos with his band Oblivion band and me and my brother who now is a drummer joined the band, I composed the music for a couple of songs throughout almost 2 years and recorded an album which I produced again, the cd is about to be released, then I formed a progressive metal band called Vitruvius www.myspace.com/vitruviusrobot which is my current band and I produced the demo again in my studio now with some pro gear and cakewalk’s sonar 7, and played in some progressive festivals. Now I am in Toronto finally haha and I’m working at kitchen mattress’ studio www.myspace.com/kitchenmattress producing both scapegrace and Vitruvius cd to be released by the end of this year, in the oblivion years I recorded music for a short movie called metamorphosis interrumpida for imcine and another short movie to be released this year, I also composed music for the pilot episodes for a Mexican soup opera called tarot.
