About Me

Damn!!!! Let’s see... where to begin. Well it started when Suicide The Kidd (Joshua I. Ramirez) was just and infant. Kidd got into music through his parents; his Mother would listen to Heavy Metal, Spanish, Latin Hip Hop, Dance, Country, etc, while his Father would always listen to Oldies music. Kidd eventually would get into rap when he first heard 2pac’s song, “Dear Mama” and Bone Thugs-N-Harmony’s, “Crossroads.” His cousins also influenced him with the Texas style “Screw Tapes” and would listen to the classic grey tapes. Eventually, in middle school, Kidd really fell for music, as in fell in love with music. Before becoming interested in music, Kidd always wanted to be a video game designer but fell out it when a friend pointed out that Kidd had always been listening to his headphones. After this, he also told Kidd that he should be a music producer, the one who makes the beats and such. Being told this, Kidd then realized his friend was right! He should be a music producer. While Kidd’s middle school days went by, he then started his "CD collection" and would buy every single cd (rap/rock/R&B/Latin Hip Hop/ Spanish/Country etc.) out there he could. During this process he also expanded his mind and appreciated all genres of music. But it wasn't until his sophomore year of high school where he started rapping and recording himself on blank cassette tapes. Kidd would plug his headphones in the mic connection and rap to instrumentals on the left side of the headphones. As time went on, Kidd became a junior and he finally got a chance to actually rap in a real music studio. The opportunity came when a school music group, he joined that year, booked a recording session to show Kidd and other members of the group experience in a music recording studio. This would lead to Kidd wanting to become a music performer. Keep in mind, Kidd still wanted to be a music producer, but this just opened more ideas for Kidd. It also didn't hurt to have other people liking Kidd’s raps either. Kidd would practice rapping nearly everyday. Then, Kidd’s senior year had arrived. An old friend by the name of Most Hated, who also rapped, introduced Kidd to T-Flo of T-Flo productions. When Kidd was brought to T-Flos studio, he instantly got hooked with recording music. Kidd then continued the rest of his senior year booking studio time and recording raps with what ever money he had. All new ideas came to Kidds big Head. Kidd would use instrumentals he bought and write down raps on his note book. After he graduated from High School, Kidd got a job and went to ACC to major in Commercial Music Management for his associate’s degree. With work and effort Kidd finally put out his first mixtape CD, "Parental Advisory The Mixtape." He made 1000 CDs and gave every one of them for free! People noticed he was making noise with this tape and began keep their eyes on Kidd’s next move. Kidd is currently working on his next underground mixtapes, “Who Is This Kidd???, Jack Yo Instrumentals,” and a collaboration tape with long time friend Most Hated. Suicide The Kidd doesn’t particularly represent a side of his city, he represents the whole South! His music is fun, raunchy, passionate, blunt, and universal.
