Noelle Casella is a classically trained cellist originally from little New Hope, Pennsylvania. She has played with the Philadelphia Youth Orchestra at the Kimmel Center, the New York Youth Symphony at Carnegie Hall, the Sarah Lawrence College Chamber Music Improvisation Ensemble, The New York Consort of Viols, and the Sarah Lawrence College Collegium Musicum.Noelle has also recorded for the band Illinois (illinoishteband.com), UK artist Stephen Fretwell (myspace.com/stephenfretwell), and Philly artist Nicole Reynolds (myspace.com/nicolereynoldsmusic).Noelle is interested in the adaptation of the violoncello into various types of music, from free improvisation techniques to the classical symphony.Update: Noelle will be studying at the Conservatorium van Amsterdam 2008-2009.
