This spicy, tasty and energetic four piece
rock unit from the windy Swedish
westcoast, have ever since they started
back in 2007 performed a strong and
convincing kind of noisy, but melodic,
racket. It hits you right in the face with
songs that gives you a feeling of absolute
and perfect conclusiveness, that needs
nothing to be added. And yet it..s so basic
and simple.
The band consists of a classic formula of
drums, bass, guitars and vocals and it is
nothing progressive about that. The
exciting thing in the case of HONEY
MUSTARD is the chemical reaction of it all.
Like nitroglycerine, they are ready to
explode, and so they do if somebody don..t
stop them! Just listen to these songs and
you will not question what I..m talking about!
All of you people familiar and comfortable
with the alternative music of the nineties
and names as Nirvana, Mudhoney, Sonic
Youth and so on, will feel you..re on
common ground with HONEY MUSTARD.
It..s no lie to say that this scene has had a
big influence and impact on what is the
foundation on which HONEY MUSTARD..s
musical entity is built. But that..s of course
not "the truth, the whole truth and nothing
but the truth, so help me god" either.
There..s a lot more to it as well!
These songs have been reorded at
Gothenburg..s famous Music A Matic Studio
(Sator, Union Carbide Productions,
Thåström, Nomads, Sahara Hotnights,
Kent, Dad, Dozer, etc) together with
engineer and producer Micke Nilsson
(Dollface, C Armeé, The Fume, etc). The
mastering has been done by mastermind
Henryk Lipp (Blue For Two, Thåström, etc)
Needless to say, the production and sound
is top-notch.
Believe me when I say that HONEY
MUSTARD deserves your attention!
