Margerita Quientellar Menders, better known as Jasmine, was born and raised in Bronxville, NY. "The boogie down Bronx" is notoriously known for hip hop and is what most would consider the birthplace of the MC. Sorrounded by hip hop itself, it only makes sense that Jasmine undergo a transformation into the female raptress MC "MS. FEVA." As prouduct of Saint Mary's Projects, trials and tribulation were inevitable. Adopted, Jasmine emdured internal hardships due to little support and feeling's of "unwantedness;" however, her beloved "Nana" instilled in her the strength and courage to believe in herself and stand toe to toe with life. By the age of 12, she developed a strong passion for music and dance. In the late 80's, she performed at Harlem's infamous Apollo Theater as member of "The Girls" and "took home the crown" consecutively. For Jasmine, winning became an uncurable disease. Her dance IQ ranges from Hip Hop Dance, Ballet, Jazz, African Dance, Modern, Tap and Pointe. She was rewarded scholarships to Larocque Bey School of Dance Theatre, Ballet Hispanico, Dance Theater of Harlem, Alvin Ailey, Opus Dance Company and Broadway Dance Center. During the earlier stages, she traveled with Kathy Cable Kids singing and dancing and fertilizing the egg that would hatch her inner performer.Graduating from performing arts junior high school & high school, She was a focul point in the 2Pac Shakur Play in Harlem, NY and her crew won all-star talent shows throughout New York City. As the world spins on its axis, the slow movement of each season gives people time to learn, analyze, re-analyze and adapt to the phases of life. In Jasmine's case, the early death of "NANA" & the murder of her brother/couzo, Kasiem aka "FEVA" made her re-analyze the importance of life and gave her a more genuine perspective on how to live on her own. She dedicated herself to her dreams and is reminded by the memory of "NANA & "FEVA" to remain focused. The pen and pad became symbols of the mother and father she never had. Through writing, she was able to vent in her own way, and like a mother and father should, the pen and pad were the only ones there listening. From shows in Conneticuit alongside Lady Luck, "spittin" freestyles in clubs across the east coast and demolished even male rapper wanna bes in Chattanooga, Tennessee taking back to the NY $1000 cash money, Jasmine is on the path to making "MS FEVA" a household name. She was also featured in "Reality" magazine out of Atlanta, Georgia. DJ Kay Slay showed mad love for "MS FEVA" when he played her famous "One Blood Remix" on New York's HOT 97. In 2007, she was picked for VHI's reality series, "Ego Trip's Miss Female Rap Supreme" but was later denied due to politics. Today, she still manages to fit music in between her family and work. Hustlin' selling cars puts her "street smarts" and persuasiveness to work and utilizes her strengths. Representin' the BX to the fullest, "MS FEVA" is one of hip hop's best unknown female MCs and remains eager to hold the crown, "QUEEN OF THE EAST."!!
