Born in Timmins, Ontario Canada this Italian-Canadian Crooner has been wowing audiences since he was a young boy. Franco began singing Italian opera arias for his family and friends and was even featured as a finalist on a local television talent show when he was only 9 years old.
As an adolescent Franco was often sought out to participate in high school assemblies, musical performances at the local Italian community centre, and local charity based events in Northern and Southern Ontario. In addition to singing operatic pieces, Franco began taking an interest in learning the Jazz standards repertoire of Sinatra, Bennett, Martin and Darin. Realizing that Sinatra and company had all initially received formal classical voice training, Franco decided that in order to excell at the Jazz repertoire, he still needed to train and develop his voice classicly.
After spending years training his voice in Vancouver, Franco travelled to Europe where he lived in Rome for 4 years and received additional vocal training in Florence, Italy with some of the most reputable voice coaches in the world.
In 2006, Franco returned to live in Canada. He immediately began pursuing opportunities to perform at venues and take additional voice training. After a favourable vocal consultation with the renowned soprano and vocal coach, Trudy Buckler Blake, Franco was encouraged to show off his professional versatility, expressive voice and powerful 3 octave range by creating a vocal act consisting of songs from the Crooner Classics, Opera and Crossover Ballad repertoire. Franco Pirritano is considered to be one of the best Crooners / Cross-over vocalists in Western Canada. He regularly appears at various Restaurants and Night Clubs, Corporate and Charity events in the Greater Vancouver area.
