About Me
Hi, my name is Maiten Montenegro. I am a a television producer (Quiero ser Estrella, Sabado Gigante, Martes 13, Mapaipitepen, Maiten 77, Maitengamonos Juntos, Univision, Universidad Catolica de Chile T.V., Television Nacional de Chile, etc.) You may also know me as a singer in the 60's as part of the 'Nueva Ola' movement in Chile as a solo artist(Cancion para una esposa triste, etc.) and as part of famous groups (Maijope Show and Grupo Movil.) As an actress and comedian I've worked in many television shows, commercials, motion pictures, radio and theater (Jappening con Ja, El Show de Susana Cecilia, Sabado Gigante, Maijope Show, Martes 13, Festival de Viña del Mar, Teleton Chile, etc.) both in her native Chile and later internationally.
While stablished in the U.S.(Miami, Florida) she opened her own talent academy- M.D.A. Studios, where she has instructed and develop young talent, children and teenagers, in the disciplines of dancing, acting and music. She has been working with talented children for most of her life. First as a child actress herself, then as host and producer of the children's show "El Maravilloso Mundo de la Tortuga Tatiana", then as a producer of the segment "Clan Infantil" of the legendary 'Sabado Gigante Show', as a producer in the U.S. for Don Francisco's 'Sabado Gigante Internacional' and Univision's own kids show "Quiero ser una Estrella."
