About Me

I came to prominence in an era when boxing was the nation's pastime and I was its chosen son. When the defeated and the downtrodden desperately needed a good laugh, I provided guffaws. With each new antic in the ring and every escapade outside its confines, my immeasurable charm, my joyful personality and a roundhouse right that stunned my opponents, entertained the multitudes better than anything in shoe leather.Life was my greatest indulgence. What was not within my persona, was to brag about killing two men in the ring. In fact I did not kill two men. I did not threaten men and intimidate women. A recent film depicted me as a monster. In reality, I was one of our nation's beloved boxers, an infectious personality and a warm human being...if I do say so myself !! =)Plain MySpace Layouts by Iron Spider
