While growing up in New England ,Michael took advantage of it's vast drum and musicial history.Starting with private studies with Alan Dawson,Gary Chaffee, Bob Gulloti,Gene Roma,and Dick DiCenzo .After a year at Berklee College,Michael headed west to attend P I T in Hollywood california ,Where he studied with David Garibaldi,Steve Houghton,Casey Schuerelle,Joe Porcaro,Ralph Humphrey and Afrain Toro.It was there met and played with many top players in the area such as,Steve Oliver.Jimmy Herring,Jeff Berlin,Frank Gambale,Scott henderson and Tim Bogert.While coming back to the east coast Michael has work as a leader and a sideman on several touring and recording project's that include: Costa Cruise line, Symphony hall house band,Lourdes Pita,70'S hit group Tavares,Little Richard,Dean Adrean,Scott Tarulli,Bruce Bartlett,Barron Brown,Soul City,The Rockn Soul Horns,Sue Robertson,Faith Soloway, The Discover Channel,Jen Murdza,Kris Pappas ,One step ahead,The Platters, Donna Hammers and kerri Powers.I am currently teaching and working on many new side project's this year for 2010 Please go to MICHAELIANNANTUONI.COM to keep up with the latst tour date's and recording project's as I wll be in Nashville and Las Vegas much of this year.I have been a part of the Istanbul Agop family for the past 12 year's and my current set up is a 22 Mel Lewis ride,20 dark traditionl crash 20 mel Lewis 1982 ride and 14 tradition hat's(Just Beautiful Cymbals) I also am endorsing Spaun custom maple drums,Brian Spaun and the guy's are just a pleasure to deal with and make some remarkable drum's on the west coast.I am alway's looking for new contact's and project's ,So please feel free to email me with any thought's for your project @ [email protected] you I can be reached @ 508 889 2721I also have two drum text books that I have made avaliable : @MICHAELIANNANTUONI.COMBuilding the perfect beat and The contemporary drummer,Both great books to add to your music library collection!!!
