Visually, to define icons by redefining icons through use of repetition and role reversal; to throw details off kilter in the compositional mix; to find symmetry by acknowledging nothing is flawless, sterile or balanced; to redefine symmetry by means of an asymmetric measuring rod.I employ my vices to improve on myself. I believe reliance on excessiveness can cause negative elements or effects to occur. But through exploring the more, the many and saturation with deliberate awareness, one may redefine these elements and discover underlying theories of moderation at arm’s length. Currently, I use elements from my life, images of my own, and my known, i.e. cowboy boots, shirtless men, cigarettes, as well as my theories of sexual admiration, politics, stereotypes and compulsion. I explore these elements of images and theories and attempt translate them from vices to moderated morals. Also, I exercise role reversal, in attempts of self-awareness. For example, in the process of flipping the relationship between man and animal I believe there is a sudden new territory to be discovered. This discovery also introduces a primitive element; what once was.I believe in progressive movement when combining sexuality or sexual fetishisms and desires into abstract and unlikely elements such as humor or politics. If we keep life interesting and desirable humans will have more hope and motivation to do the right thing, to seek out more opportunities for thinking outside the box and to realize the power and importance of questioning – formulating educated opinions rather than blindly owning theories because it is easier to swim down stream.I think investigating our own vices as well as placing ourselves in another’s shoe can establish ultimate self-reflection. I aspire to have my art come from a primitive instinct, like that of a child, to have my message be about something current – perhaps political or sexual, but nonetheless raw and educated – and confer such an emotional depth that a viewer feels informed, altered, acknowledged and human."-ACT
