About Me

Her voice has been described as soulful, sultry, passionate, and smooth. Her Motown-influenced vocals, combined with songwriting sensibilities, compliment her unique musical blend. Jennifer explains her sound this way;"Music is a powerful tool in todays world. In all my music I strive to express positive and meaningful life experiences that relate to todays youth. From her ballads to the club tracks you will be pleasantly surprised at the thought provoking lyrics and the creativity of the music. Jennifer possesses musical rhythm and style with a youthful intensity that has been compared to artist such as Joss Stone. Mariah Carey and the legendary Betty Wright. Born Jennifer Rose Luna in Patterson, California and grew up in Turlock, California she moved down to Los Angeles to pursue her dream. Jennifer started her singing career at a young age. Since that time she has been polishing her vocal and performance skills, which create her current sound. Beside outstanding vocals she was also blessed with natural good looks and sex appeal she is pursuing an acting career and has worked on various shows ranging from Cold Case to Half and Half, plus Disney’s Hannah Montana and The Suite Life of Zack and Cody. Band Members: News Local Singer Following in Mariah Carey's Footsteps - Thursday, September 20, 2007 | 11:22 PMHollywood Wrap By George PennacchioWEST HOLLYWOOD, Aug. 30, 2007 (KABC-TV) -- I was covering a Mariah Carey CD signing two years ago when I ran into a young woman who dreamed of becoming a singer, and Mariah was her favorite and her big inspiration. Jennifer Luna is performing in the Parish Room at the famous House of Blues. "I kind of like had that feeling like, 'Oh my God, I'm here.' This is great. So many people have performed here that I admire," says Luna. "Prince has performed in the room that you're performing in tonight." "My heart just started beating. Yeah. That's insane. I can't even believe that. Yeah," says Luna. On her music, Luna says: "It's soulful. There's a little fun. There's some jazz and some pop and R-and-B in there. I think it's going to reach out to a lot of different kinds of people, young, old, all ages." Luna is working on getting an album out next month, mainly through her MySpace page. Luna is singing steadily. She's still inspired by Mariah Carey, but she's ready to carry on with her own music career. "I expect it out myself. I've always had that vision. Everything is slowly happening that I've always, had in my mind since I was a little girl," says Luna. "I'll be a great artist. I'll reach out to everyone out there and send a good message."(Copyright ©2007 KABC-TV/DT. All Rights Reserved.)

Influenced by Old School and The Standards, Jennifer started writing songs at age eleven. She began performing before audiences at a young age and continued at Turlock High School where she performed with the Y.E.S. company and various musicals. She was happy with her surroundings in Turlock, Ca but a deeper passion for music stirred within her. She hit the road to Los Angeles hooking up with a Record Production, as her muse developed she adopted the piano after working with her producer, vocal coach and musical influence Tess Escoto. She has also been learning guitar....“What I love about R&B music is the groove... the soul it has. But the problem is it so rarely has anything to say anymore,” explains Luna. “Stevie Wonder, Betty Wright those guys gave you something for your body and your mind. I’m just trying to get back there.”With the funk influence and classic soul, she blends the intellectual influence of artists like Stevie Wonder to create an mélange of smooth pop hooks with meaning and movement. “I’m out to move your body and your mind,” says Jennifer, who stands poised to shake the world with her music and make it yours. Her début album is COMING SOON
