Shannon. THE ANGEL I was browsing in a thrift store, a quaint and crowded little shop. There is not much here I was thinking when a porcelain figure made me stop. It was an angel kneeling on a sphere, its eyes cast down to earth. Nice piece of art I thought, I asked the storekeeper of its worth. It's a bargain he said "ten dollars buys the thing, I'd get much more you see, but it's got a broken wing" The broken wing was not concern to me at all, It showed that sometimes even angels fall. The angel made me think of my son Shannon, could it be perhaps a sign, to tell me he's in heaven and everything is fine. When mothers grieve they tend to leave reality behind, so my eyes and ears stay on after looking for some sign. When the angels get together, and the choir begins to sing the angel with the high voice may have a broken wing.
