Madison Cano was indeed a surprise. The Californian singer / songwriter who has been in Madrid for only a small amount of time, stunned the audience with her awesome and powerful vocals. The set was a balanced mixture of warm, rhythmic, and tasteful themes. Simply, magical.

Cano’s sound is a mix of folk, indie, pop, and alternative music; her voice is jaw dropping beautiful, her look is forties chic, and her lyrics capture the essence of vulnerability and optimism. Imagine what you would get if you rolled Frente, Concrete Blonde, Portishead and Judy Garland into one and, well, there you have it. Cano is definitely what I would call bat for lashes.
