Powerful is the first word that comes to mind when describing Samantha Payne’s voice. Growing up in Indianapolis, Payne spent her early years singing and dancing every chance she could get. This led to her enrollment in both dance and vocal lessons where she gained operatic voice training. Samantha excelled which brought her several musical theatre roles. She won the title role of “Carmen Diaz†in the high school school musical production of Fame.
She began performing in many local talent contests and showchoirs. Next, Samantha was chosen and named the American Idol of local radio station, 93.1 Radio Now. On top of this, she performed at the 2nd Annual American Idol Mall Tour. Soon after, Payne was signed to Vertex Entertainment in Boston for two years.
Now at the age of 21, the passionate singer-songwriter has been seen singing at major events for some of Indianapolis’ finest audiences which include basketball championships, charity events, weddings, and confirmation parties. Payne is now concentrating on making a name for herself and is interested in meeting with various production labels. She is currently under no musical contract agreements and is not affiliated with any labels or companies.
