CHA CHA CHA: Restaurants for me fit in several categories: definitely not going back, Ill eat it but I dont really care if we go back, its okay but Im not gonna go out of my way to go there, definitely be back, I already want to go back as Im leaving the restaurant. Cha Cha Cha definitely fits the category, I already want to go back as Im leaving the restaurant. Cha Cha Cha is a Caribbean restaurant with locations in West Hollywood and one near Silver lake on Virgil. I first went to this restaurant probably around four years ago, but I believe I only got an appetizer and didnt drink, so I didnt remember much about it. But then about two months ago, I went to Cha Cha Cha for a friends bday party. Everything was delicious, high quality and the sangria was the best! (understand that I dont drink very much). It was a big party so we ended making a present menu for quicker service. For appetizers, we got the ceviche, corn tamales, and the calamari. If you have never had corn tamales, you MUST try it. For the entrees we picked, the bistec, the seafood fettuccini, the salmon negra, and the Jamaican jerk chicken. I didnt really get a good taste of the steak, but my friends who got it says it was pretty good. I ordered the Jamaican jerk chicken, and it was amazing. It has a darker sauce that is a lil tangy, and sweet with a spicyness that kicks in as you eat more of it. The chicken is also really tender and is served with black beans, rice, and plantains. I also got a good taste of the salmon and seafood fettuccini. Im usually very picky with my salmon as well, but this was also very good. I remember having a similar taste to the Jamaican jerk chicken though. The only thing that night that was kind of just all right was the seafood fettuccini. And of course we had several pitchers of sangria. They must put crack in their food, cuz the very next days, I wanted to head back already. I didnt head back the next day, but I did go back a couple weeks ago. Ordered the Jamaican jerk chicken again and the seafood paella. I still would pick the jerk chicken over the paella. And of course sangria, yum. Its a pretty lively place and also no too expensive.
