Carmine Martino(il cognome è preso in prestito dalla madre),torinese classe 1971,inizia a mixare alla fine degli anni '80.Nel '91 la sua prima residenza fissa al club Under 33,storico locale cittadino dove propone oltre a sonorità commerciali le prime produzioni techno-house di etichette poi diventate storiche nel genere(fra tutte r&s,ur e dj international).Nel frattempo inizia a collezionare dischi in vinile prodotti dalla metà dei '60 fino ai giorni nostri,spaziando da un suono disco-funk ad elettronico.A metà dei '90 viene folgorato dall'avvento della neo-electro,dove l'evoluzione del suono breakbeat old-school incontra disco e wave,diventandone accanito sostenitore.Attualmente i suoi dj-set,suonati esclusivamente con dischi in vinile rappresentano un crossover tra il suo background musicale(electro,disco,acid) e il suono deep-house e tech-funk.-------------------------------------------------- -------------------ENGLISH BIO: Carmine Martino (Martino is his mother name), born in Turin in 1971 start his activity of DJ in the beginning of 80's. In 1991 he's main DJ on duty at the historical bar Under 33. DJ Martino mix commercial sounds with the first techno-house productions edited by r&s,ur and dj international both famous labels of the techno-house gender. In the same time begin his collection of disco-funk and electronic records from 60's to today' productions. In the 90's DJ Martino is fatally attracted by new-electro gender and become a strong promoter of it, where the evolution of the breakbeat old-school match the disco and the wave.
