Hip-hop's all about the limitless freedom of self-expression. Just ask DJ Don-Won.Born and raised in the Suffolk VA, Don-Won was familiar with the intriguing characteristics of hip-hop culture for the majority of his upbringing. While growing up in a single parent home throughout his childhood, hip-hop was more of an known language to his friends and family than an appreciated work of art. It wasn't until Don-Won teenage years when he let his curiosity run wild to unforeseen heights. And the rest is history.After purchasing his first set of turntables in elementry school, Don-Won passionately worked to showcase his love for music through innovative and unpredictable routines dissimilar from the common hip-hop DJ. He strongly stands by his belief that before someone can become a brilliant disc jockey, he or she must first become a brilliant fan of music. Day in and day out, Don-Won thoroughly enjoyed the dedicated hours of practice in his bedroom and soon found himself deejaying for local parties and events.
